Zenith bank robbery: A GoFundMe page has been launched for the late officer’s family…See how to donate here

A GoFundMe page has been launched by Nigeria’s foremost newspaper, PUNCH and some social activists for the upkeep of Sergeant Chukwudi Iboko’s family who died after sustaining gun shot wounds from armed robbers that attacked Zenith Bank branch on Wetheral Road, Owerri, Imo State.

Nigerians have also started donating to raise funds with social activist, Kayode Ogundamisi, in the forefront. Having raised N200,000 for the rent of the Ibokos, Ogundamisi campaigned vigorously on Twitter for Nigerians to join in the GoFundMe appeal.

One Philip Obin, who replied to Ogundamisi’s tweet, said a friend of his had indicated interest in sponsoring the education of the children. A blogger, Ifeanyi Njoku, said he would be handing over N500,000 to the widow of the deceased cop on Monday (today).
