The Vehicle Inspection Unit officials (VIO) have been given a new directive to ensure that only roadworthy vehicles are allowed on roads given that the ban placed on them by the Lagos state governor was not a complete one.

However, a new document revealed by the Director-General, Bureau of Public Service Reforms, Dr Joe Abah will stop drivers from being harassed unjustly.

The circular clearly states that VIO officers have no business checking vehicles between 7am-9am and 4pm-6pm.
