Most of the time, we are oblivious or neglect the essence of suffering. It’s a sure thing that nobody wants to suffer but nevertheless, we experience it all the same.
Those are part of the spice of life. Like your meal that needs different ingredients to be tasty, life also needs different experiences (spices) to make it worthwhile.
And there are a lot we can do instead of brooding and feeling down. These are not just some words to soothe you, they are the truth.
Everything is about your mindset, your perception to life and and your attitude. Remember, attitude is everything.
Would you rather be angry, grumpy because you’re suffering at the moment, because things are not going as planned? Because you’re in pain?
When you can instead be happy, keep the faith while having a positive outlook to life.
Anger, lamentations, feelings of misery blocks our eyes/minds to notice what that period is trying to teach us. Those emotions prevent us from seeing the best ahead of us.
You can deal with suffering in other ways than that.
Pastor David Crosby in his book, Your Pain is Changing You, Discover the Power of a Godly response writes:
You do not get to choose the events that come your way nor the sorrows that interrupt your life.
They will likely be a surprise to you, catching you off guard and unprepared.
You may hold your head in your hand and lament your weak condition and wonder what you ought to do.
To suffer, that is common to all.
To suffer and still keep your composure, your smile, your faith; that is remarkable.
Pain will change you more profoundly than success or good fortune.
Suffering shapes your life, your perception, your values and priorities, your goals and dreams.
Your pain is changing you.
Again, your pain is changing you. Be open to that feeling and experience the change.
Everybody suffers, so you’re not alone in this. We all got our battles ravaging inside of us, never forget to carry your head like a king or queen that you are.
Wishing you a day full of happiness and productivity, cheers!
Love Always… M.
