Movies time is definitely happy time.
Whew! Did this weekend come early or what?! I could just picture last Friday and it seemed like yesterday. Oh well…cheers to another freaking weekend.
And I’ve got movies, interesting movies to keep you entertained althrough. Some are showing in the cinemas already while others, you will have to download yourselves or streamlive but whatever the case, be rest assured that there won’t be a dull moment.
And for believers of superstition, today is Friday the 13th. Time to indulge in some scary movies, lol.
Without much ado, say hello to your weekend starter pack:
1. Blade 2049
This movie was on the list for last week which was it’s first showing but it’s still hot. Following his discovery of a long buried secret, a young blade runner begins a quest to track down former blade runner who’s been missing for thirty years.
2. The Security
A mall security guard has to protect a female witness from a dangerous gang after they lose all forms of communication during a storm.
3. The Snowman
For a detective, the death of a woman during the first snowfall of winter feels like just a routine homicide but his investigation leads him to “The Snowman Killer,” an elusive sociopath. As the vicious murders continue, the detective teams up with a brilliant recruit to try and lure the madman out of the shadows before he can strike again.

4. The Foreigner
Jackie Chan came back with a bang on this one alongside one-time James Bond, Pierce Brosnan. A humble London businessman whose long-buried past erupts when the only person left for him to love dies in a senseless act of political terrorism. His relentless search to find the terrorists leads him to a British government official whose own past may hold the clues to the identities of the elusive killers.
Featuring Game of Thrones’ Jon Snow, this is an action packed movie about a frontier woman who turns fugitive when she is wrongly accused of a crime she didn’t commit and is hunted by a vengeful preacher.
6. The Mountain Between Us
Stranded on a mountain after a tragic plane crash, two strangers must work together to endure the extreme elements of the remote, snow-covered terrain. As help is far from coming, they embark on a perilous journey across hundreds of miles of wilderness, pushing each other to survive and discovering their inner strength. Starring Idris Elba and Titanic’s Kate Winslet.
7. Friend Request
For all social media lovers, this is a must watch. A popular college student, Laura graciously accepts an online friend request from a young social outcast. To everyone’s shock, the latter takes her own life after Laura unfriends her. Soon, a disturbing and mysterious video appears on Laura’s profile on Facebook and her friends suddenly begin to die one by one. The frightened young woman must figure out a way to stop the carnage before it’s too late.
8. The Circle
A lady gets a lifetime opportunity when she lands a job with the world’s most powerful technology and social media company. Encouraged by the company’s founder, she joins a groundbreaking experiment that pushes the boundaries of privacy, ethics and personal freedom which in turn starts to affect the lives and futures of her friends, family and that of humanity.
An intriguing Nollywood crime drama. When a young business executive is found murdered, 2 gritty detectives begin a puzzling investigation which leads to the unfolding of dark revelations at every corner.
10. The Promise
A brilliant medical student meets a beautiful dance instructor. Their shared Armenian heritage sparks an attraction that explodes into a romantic rivalry involving the dancer’s boyfriend, an American photojournalist who’s dedicated to exposing the truth. As the Ottoman Empire crumbles into war-torn chaos, their conflicting passions must be deferred as they join forces to get themselves and their people to safety.
