Touching! See how Flavour made the dreams of a young blind boy come true (PHOTOS+VIDEO)

Back in March, singer Flavour was in Liberia where he met a young blind boy, Semah G Weifur who is crazy about him and his songs.

Flavour has celebrated the young lad on his social media page, revealing that Semah’s dream was to be a musician like Flavour in future.

And that dream has come to pass in the nearest future, maybe not all of it but a huge part as Flavour featured Semah in his latest song and video ‘Most High’ for his recently released album (Ijele the Traveler).

Everybody can’t get enough of the song since it was released. Maybe, you should find out for yourself.

Will you like to know what your favourite songs taste like? Check out this man who can taste sounds

 Literally taste sound!

A man who has a rare condition called Synesthesia that allows him to match sounds to flavours has revealed what some of the biggest summer anthems of all time tastes like.

James Wannerton’s neurological condition links senses which are normally experienced separately. For him, taste and hearing are linked.

Identifying what some of the biggest summer hits of the last 30 years taste like, he says Justin Bieber’s Despactio tastes like sweet chilli, while Kanye West’s Gold Digger has the flavour of cheese.

James, who is the president of the UK Synaesthesia Association said:
Food and music are always intrinsically linked during the summer via festivals, picnics in the park or barbecues in the back garden.

This experiment allows us to take great flavours and match them to the music we enjoy during these occasions.

Some genres of music have a very distinctive taste, I find rock and roll has strong notes of cheese and tomato like hot pizza, especially anthem bands like Radiohead.

On the other side of the music spectrum, Kanye’s tracks are somewhat cheesy – in taste at least but his rap rival Jay Z gives off a meatier, more steak-y flavour.

I can only imagine what some of our Naija hits will taste like.

TGIF People! Check out the top 10 interesting movies to watch this weekend (MUST SEE)

Oh yeah, it’s a very long weekend due to the Eid-Fitr celebration and what better way to spend it than resting, hanging out (which includes hanging out with May🙆) and seeing a movie or two.

This weekend’s list contain movies you can easily download off the net and have a good time with popcorn by your side.

I trust you enjoyed last weekend’s list, I’m also looking forward to seeing the AY movie and 7 witches this weekend…Pheeww, it’s a deserved weekend so make it fun.

Take a look at the list below:

1. Transformers: The Last Knight

Humans are at war with the Transformers, and Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving the future lies buried in the secrets of the past and the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Transformers 1,2,3,4 was a hit and this one ain’t any different.

2. Hacksaw Ridge
This is a true life story about a soldier who refused to carry arms while fighting during the WWII because of his religion. But the craziest part of it all is how his faith came through for him as he single-handedly saved 75 men on the battleground. He didnt fire a single shot, yet he fought the best. This is my special recommendation for the weekend.

3. 10 days in Suncity

This is the highly anticipated movie by comedian AY. With all the teases, previews and trailers, I trust its one that will keep you reeling with laughter…with a bit of action too. Starring Adesua Etomi, RMD, AY, it’s slated to show this weekend at the cinemas.

4. I, Daniel Blake

Daniel Blake is a 59-year-old widowed carpenter who is unable to continue working due to a recent hear attack. And while, he finds his way through an agonizing appeal process after being denied welfare by the authorities, Daniel begins to develop a strong bond with a destitute, single mother who’s struggling to take care of her two children.

5. 7 witches

As their big day draws close, Cate and Cody should be celebrating. Their families are there, they’ve rented an island for the big day, but unknown to them, their wedding falls on the day when a 100-year-old curse comes to fruition and they find themselves fighting for their lives. It’s a horror movie that is worth seeing😈.

6. The Lego Batman movie

There are big changes brewing in Gotham, but if Batman wants to save the city from the Joker’s hostile takeover, he may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up as his superhero sidekick and loyal butler show him a thing or two.

7. The Lovers

A husband and wife, each engaged in extramarital affairs finds love again in each other. So sweet a movie that will leave you all mushy and make you believe in the power of love😳.

8. Going in style

Three lifelong buddies decide to buck retirement and step off the straight-and-narrow when their pension funds become a corporate casualty. Desperate to pay the bills and come through for their loved ones, the men risk it all by embarking on a daring adventure to knock off the bank that absconded with their money. Talk about grandpas on a heist, lol.

9. Love Kennedy

Although Kennedy Hansen is a funny, loving child, she inexplicably begins to fall ill, diagnosed of Juvenile Batten Disease that has no cure, and she dies at age 16. However, her story doesn’t end at her death, a whole lot of miracles begin afterwards.

10. The Women’s balcony

When a charismatic rabbi enters their community in a bid to change their lives as they know it, some women in Jerusalem struggle to unite their neighborhood and preserve their traditions. True faith is alive in this funny and profound movie.

TGIF People! Check out the top 10 interesting movies to watch this weekend (MUST SEE)

Say hello to the weekend! I’m back again with a ‘pumped’ movie list. Hope you enjoyed last weekend’s and I assure you, it’s only getting better.

Whether you’re visiting the cinema or chilling in the comfort of your sitting rooms, the below listed movies will keep you highly entertained althrough the weekend.

In no particular order, check them out:

1) I don’t feel at home in this world anymore

After being burglarized, a depressed woman and her obnoxious neighbor set out to find the thieves, but they soon find themselves up against a group of dangerous criminals.

2) Get out

Part thriller and mystery, a young African American is ready to meet his white girlfriend’s parents for a weekend in their secluded estate in the woods, but before long, the friendly and polite ambience gives way to a nightmare.

3) Captain Underpants

Any movie with Kevin Hart will leave you reeling with laughter and to think he’s part of the production crew. This is a very nice animation about two overly imaginative pranksters who hypnotize their principal into thinking that he’s a ridiculously dimwitted superhero named Captain Underpants. It’s also very colourful and allowed for kids viewing.

4) Isoken the movie

For the lovers at heart, Isoken is for you. It is a movie about a woman who is enjoying a great life but is still unmarried and has everyone in her family worried. Starring actresses like good ol’ Dakore Akande, Funke Akindele and Damilola Adegbite, this movie is definitely one to see this weekend.

5) Kong: Skull island

Scientists, soldiers and adventurers unite to explore a mythical, uncharted island in the Pacific Ocean. Cut off from everything they know, they venture into the domain of the mighty Kong, igniting the ultimate battle between man and nature.

6) Gifted

Here, we get to see Captain America in a more subtle character; as a single man raising his spirited young niece Mary. However, Frank’s plans for a normal school life for Mary are foiled when the 7-year-old’s mathematical abilities come to the attention of Frank’s formidable mother whose plans for her granddaughter threaten to separate Frank and Mary.

7) Art of steal

Although, it’s a 2013 movie, it’s totally worth it. You won’t regret going back to the past😄. A motorcycle daredevil and art thief agrees to help his brother with one last heist. As he gathers his old team and plans to steal a priceless book, he has no idea his brother has his own hidden agenda.

8) Cars 3

If you’ve seen 1 and 2, then I don’t need to tell you the action 3 holds. But if you’re a newbie, you can still pick up the action from here.

9) Beautiful accident

When a woman dies too soon, she is sent back to live another person’s life for a week. It is a Chinese movie though.

10) The Wedding plan

Talk about faith and fate! After her fiance calls off their wedding a month before the ceremony, a woman decides to still keep the reservation and trusts God will provide her with a husband.

So there you have it people, I hope you enjoy yourselves and don’t forget to spread happiness.. Cheers to the freaking weekend!😉

It’s that time of the week again and I’m back with more interesting movies for your viewing pleasure. I hope you enjoyed last week’s movie list, well this week is even better.
I also got to see two really cool movies that I’ll be including. Although, not too recent but when has date ever played a role in determining a good movie!

Trust me, I’ve got you covered on this one.

Whether watching in the cinemas or downloading to watch in the comfort of your homes, my list for this week guarantees a fun weekend.

See below:

1) Wonder woman

Even though, it’s been banned in Lebanon, suspended in Tunisia and pulled from the film fest in Algeria, this movie is one lovely combo of fiction, fantasy and science. After meeting an American pilot, Princess Diana is forced to become a warrior and leave her home for the first time to fight alongside men in a war to end all wars. It’s a long watch, over 2hours😉.

2) The Mummy

When Nick and his partner, Morton come under attack in the Middle East in their quest for timeless artifacts, the ensuing battle accidentally unearths Ahmanet, a betrayed Egyptian princess who was entombed under the desert for thousands of years. With her powers constantly evolving, Morton must now stop the resurrected monster as she embarks on a furious rampage through the streets of London.

3) Sleepless

Featuring Jamie Foxx (Downs) as an undercover Las Vegas police officer, he finds himself caught in a high-stakes web of corrupt cops, internal affairs and murderous gangsters. When a failed heist leads to the kidnapping of his teenage son, Downs must race against time during a wild and restless night to save him and bring the criminals to justice.

4) Sachin: A billion dreams

This one is an Indian biography based on the life of Indian cricket icon and living legend Sachin Tendulkar. A tale of a restless 10-year-old boy and his journey from watching India’s first World Cup winning skipper Kapil Dev lift the trophy, to the fulfillment of his dream of holding it in his hands for India to become the most celebrated sportsperson in India.

5) Alien: convenant

For lovers of sci-fi movies, this will keep you glued to your seat.

Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the mysterious world soon turns dark and dangerous when a hostile alien life-form forces the crew into a deadly fight for survival.

6) The Lovers

Romance infused with comedy, a man and his wife, each embroiled in an extramarital affair, are sent reeling when they suddenly fall for the least likely person imaginable — each other.

7) Kidnap

Yours truly, Halley Berry is the star actress in this movie where she embarks on a car speed chase to save her kidnapped son from the hands of child traffickers.

8) No Escape

Now, I am specifically recommending this movie. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. Owen Wilson features in this thriller/action movie which sees him and his family in the midst of a Middle Asia political uprising. Stuck in a strange country, he must now find a way to save himself and family.

PS: Our beloved James Bond (Pierce Brosnan is also here, so you know what this means).

9) War Machine

Been long Brad Pitt graced our movie screen. A successful, charismatic four-star general, Glenn McMahon, leaps in like a rock star to command NATO forces in Afghanistan, only to be taken down by a journalist’s no-holds-barred exposé.

10) Lost in London

A continuation of the sequel; Okon in Lagos and Okon goes to school, Lost in London is a hilarious tale about Okon and Bona, who gets selected for an exchange programme in London. They attempt to earn some Pounds before returning to Nigeria while getting into trouble at the same time.
There you have it guys, I hope you enjoy your weekend with these wonderful movies. Will be glad to know how it all went.

And incase you’ve seen a badass movie that you want others to partake in, just state in the comment section.. I’ll also be looking out for them.

Till we meet again next weekend, Adios Buenos 💖💖💖

Oh yes, the weekend is here!
From the beginning of the week, most if not everyone are already looking forward to the weekend and if you’re a movie freak like me, then you’ll find this useful as movies are a great way of relaxation.

I’ve not seen some of these movies myself but I’m hoping to this weekend. So, I’m hoping to get a review of the ones you watched (no spoilers, lol).

They range from epic to comedy to action-packed movies, I hope you find them interesting and don’t forget your popcorn too.

Below are the top 10 movies on my list this weekend:

1) Pirates of the Carribean: Dead men tell no tales

I’m not really a fan of the pirates movie but I love Johnny Depp (AKA Jack Sparrow) but for fans, this is a must watch as the movie takes you into a whole new adventure with Capt. Sparrow haunted by his old nemesis, Capt. Salazar when they escape from the Devil’s Triangle.

2) Guardians of the Galaxy II

If you saw the first one, then this two will keep you at the edge of your seat. And as the guardians are hired to protect the alien’s precious batteries, the mystery of Peter Quill’s parentage is revealed.

A thriller which shows a disturbed teacher and a young photographer whom he kidnapped in his apartment after inviting her for a night of romance.
